The Legend of Gilgamesh

A short film adaptation of the renowned Ancient Mesopotamian epic poem. Commissioned as part of Galway 2020’s programme during its tenure as European Capital of Culture. Macnas reimagines the heroic tale of mythological figures, Gilgamesh and Enkidu, as large-scale images brought to life by an ensemble of artful puppeteers.
